Respect at Work – Message from the General Secretary

Colleagues,
This General Election is critical to every member of the CWU, their families and communities.

In this video, which I invite you to watch, I call on you to ask canvassers to support workers’ rights by signing the Respect at Work pledge which is outlined in the flyers you will have received.

The next nine days are crucial, and you can make a real difference.

While all the other main parties have expressed clear support for the Respect at Work campaign, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have not signed the pledge.

They have not expressed clear support for workers’ rights and we have to change that.

You should have the Respect at Work flyers to hand when canvassers call to your door looking for your vote.

The request is simple: if you want my vote, I want your support for workers’ rights. Candidates can show this support by signing the Respect at Work pledge.

You can also support the campaign by sending us photos of canvassers with the flyers to info@cwu.ie

I’m confident that with your help, we will make this a key issue – because you will make it an issue on the doorsteps.

I look forward to your support and I appreciate it.
