Description
I wish to advise you in respect of a number of organisational matters as outlined below.
NEC Women’s Reserve Seat – Postal/Courier
You will be aware from the outcome of the National Executive Council election at Biennial Conference, a vacancy of a women’s reserved seat in the Postal/Courier Sector remains to be filled. The National Executive Council decided to co-opt a female member as a non-voting Observer, as provided for in Rule 5 of the CWU Constitution.
Accordingly, Postal/Courier Branches are invited to nominate one female member of the Branch Committee and submit to the General Secretary, by completing the attached form. The closing date for receipt of nominations is 12 noon, Wednesday 13th July 2022.
NEC Sub-Committees 2022-2024
The members of the various NEC Sub Committees are outlined in the attachment to this circular.
Branch Rationalisation
You will be aware the Rationalisation Sub-Committee of the NEC is currently reviewing the CWU Branch Structures. As outlined at Conference, Branches are reminded that the opportunity remains for Branches, that have not already done so, to submit their views for consideration. The closing date for receipt of submissions is 12 noon, Wednesday 13th July 2022.
CWU Seminar 2023
The CWU Seminar will take place in the Tower Hotel, Waterford on the 20th/21st April 2023.
CWU Biennial Delegate Conference 2024
The next CWU Biennial Delegate Conference will take place in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway on the 17th/18th April 2024.
