GSP 07-23 Easter Arrangements 2023

Description
28th March 2023: Following discussions with An Post, I can confirm that the arrangements for Easter 2023, which are in the main as applied last year are, in summary, as below.
Where there are no deliveries on Good Friday, there is an obligation on Management to ensure sufficient resources are in place to clear on the following Tuesday.
Thursday 6th April:
- Normal working day
Good Friday 7th April:
- Full Delivery Dublin, with deliveries in provinces as applied in 2022
- Collections Dublin: All 5:30pm collections from Post Boxes must be performed after the Latest Time Of Posting
- There will be no 4:00pm collections except where Post Boxes have an LTOP prior to 5:30pm
- Collections to be performed (prior to 1:00pm) at Post Offices which did not receive a 5:30 pm collection on Thursday 6th April
- Collections Provinces: Full AM Clearance of all Post Boxes/Post Offices as per 2022 (into lock ups etc)
- Full scanning compliance is required for all collections
Note: Post Offices will remain open until 1:00pm on Good Friday and will remain closed on Easter Saturday.
Easter Saturday 8th April:
- All DSUs to process all incoming parcels
- All containers to be cleared and prepared for repatriation on Sunday
- Normal Saturday urban Parcel Delivery
- Collections as per Customers request
Easter Sunday 9th April:
- No deliveries in Dublin or the Provinces. Collections as per Customer requests
- The MDN Inter-Hub will operate to a Bank Holiday type schedule
- Pre-Lim despatches to specified DSUs
Easter Monday 10th April:
- No deliveries in Dublin or provinces
- Collections as per strategic customer requests
- The MDN Inter Hub Network will operate to a Bank Holiday type schedule
- Pre-Lim despatches to DSUs to clear forecasted high volumes
- Late Acceptance will operate
Easter Tuesday 11th April
- Normal Operational arrangements will apply
- Overtime where warranted will be paid on routes which did not have a delivery on Good Friday or Easter Saturday
