I wish to advise you of the outcome of discussions with An Post in respect of the resourcing arrangements to apply for this year’s Peak/Xmas period in Final Mile Operations.
Peak
- Monday 25th to Friday 29th November -1 hour overtime per day
- Cessation of Late Finish Agreement applies for any additional hours where warranted.
Weekend Attendances
- Saturday 30th November -nationwide (packet/parcel) delivery 4 hour attendance
- Saturday 7th December – nationwide delivery 8.5 hour attendance
- Saturday 14th December – nationwide delivery 8.5 hour attendance
- Sunday 22nd December – nationwide delivery 8.5 hours attendance
Post Christmas
- Monday 30th December – normal delivery with 1.5 hours overtime
Total Hours Package
- Redesigned Provincial DSUs 72 hours
- All other Provincial DSUs 64 hours
- Dublin redesigned DSUs 82 hours
- Non realigned Dublin DSUs 62 hours
In finalising collective agreements between CWU and An Post for the General Election and Peak/Xmas arrangements, it is acknowledged the next couple of months will be an extremely busy period for all concerned. While it is managements responsibility to plan and organise the business requirements and to ensure the necessary resources are in place, the parties agree to engage at the appropriate level to ensure timely resolution of any issue to ensure full clearance of mail. All members are requested to cooperate fully with the agreed arrangements.
Branches should now finalise local arrangements in accordance with the above parameters as early as possible. Please revert to the CWU Regional Officers if assistance is required.
